Had Hug Gone Bad poured from pint can, (apparently) hand-filled at Lilly Pad Hopyard, Morgan County, Cumberland Plateau, Tenn., into Teku tulip 3.0.
Pours deep, slightly copper- but bright-gold with clarity and 2-finger foamy near-white head, with good retention, leaving some splotchy, scattered rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of big biscuit malt and huge sharp tropical, sweet melon and berry fruit (passion fruit) aromas off pour, and continuing into some grassy hops, with florals joining as warms. Begins fruit juice, tart but not very, which carries through light carbonation, and into substantial biscuit malt, which reveals melon, tart and funky tropical, pineapple, berry, possibly cherry and other passion fruit flavors, before a bit sticky, still only a little tart finish.
Hugely aromatic, just a bit tart, funky and tropical passion fruit juice.
