Poured from 12oz can into my Belvárosi sörfesztivál tulip.
Appearance: golden-copper hue with maybe just a dash of haze and a thick head of frothy dark-ivory foam.
Smell: slightly sweet malt with a bit of an earthy character. There’s also an aroma that comes across as a bit corn-ey; there’s no corn in this, nevertheless the aroma is there.
Taste: similar to the aroma; sweetish and corn-ey. I would say the bitterness from the hops helps the balance here, but I’m still just not too crazy about that malt character.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I guess not too bad for a blonde ale, but the malt bill just doesn’t quite do it for me.
