Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: a nice medium gold hue with a clear body and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: malt is slightly sweet and slightly grainy, with some nice caramel character to it. Not too bad!
Taste: some lightly caramelly malt with a bit of bitterness and kind of an astringent thing going on. Maybe not perfect, but I do like the malt base here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it’s always kind of strange to rate a beer “overall” higher than I rated the flavor, but despite, or maybe because of, that bit of astringency, this stuff goes down real easy.

Clear amber with dissipating foam in the chalice. Modest amount of spritz on the tongue with a smooth and malty body. I would not call this crisp, it's more like a Blonde Ale. Well, it is at least more of a Vienna than the actual Mexican lagers that taste like Bud Light. The taste is grain and corn with a woody finish and the slightest hint of sourness. I don't see this as a very good alternative to many other light brews. Still it has lots of flavor if you happen to like it. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 9/9/24.
