Creamy, light tan head. Very dark auburn, which has a bit of reddish highlights, at the edge of the glass. Moderate level of very darkly roasted grains and toasted wood with a bit of sweetness, for the aroma. A bit sharp with the dark roast caramel malt. Moderate body and amount of flavors of deep roasted grains and a bit of wood, for the taste.
