The colour is deep red-brown. The beige two finger compact head leaves lots of lacing.
The generous full bodied smell got notes of somewhat roasted malt, roasted nuts, fresh spicy hops, rye bread and some dried fruits.
There is a clean crisp bitterness in the background. Over the bitter flavours, there is balancing malt with nutty notes of bread, cookies and butter. There are some gentle spicy notes of black pepper and herbs too. The aftertaste got salty notes of roast beef with gravy and a nice, growing clean bitterness.
The carbonation is strong with medium-sized bubbles. The liquid is a little bit dry.
A great session-Vienna. The city of Vienna is called Wien in Swedish, hence the name.
