Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown with little light transmission and a fine, one finger khaki head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt with a hint of char, cocoa, Postum and a touch of coffee. Flavor follows with dark toasted malt with light char, bakers chocolate, mixed grain and drip coffee; mocha coffee finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solid Irish dry stout with better than expected charry malt and coffee character. The profile is classic for the style while the flavor depth is somewhat less than Guiness, but I preferred the higher roastiness of the malt and it made up for the lighter flavor. Good flavor for the ABV. A nitro can, and had a respectable, fine grained nitro like head, but the body was not as creamy as a true nitro pour nor the best of the nitro cans. Light, but quite nice flavor. I'd have this again if I ever see it.
