On tap at Augustiner in Freiburg. Pours a nice golden color, but nice and opaque from the lack of filtering. Smell is hoppy with citrus peel. Nice floral notes. Taste is smooth and crisp - definitely getting a light level of hops, but lots of citrus and a bit of leather. Overall really nice.

Golden, slightly hazy, unfiltered with nice light head that retains. Taste is mildly hoppy, a little metallic... very tasty. Could drink more than a few on a hot summer's day... too bad it's Feb! Definitely recommend if you can find.. had to bring it back to Canada in my luggage. :)

Review: 0,33l flip-top Bottle of Ganter Urtrunk beer: ABV: 4.9%

Coming in a cool swing/flip top bottle with an interesting label, the beer apparently uses the same recipes that go way back to the founder Louis Ganter

On pour we get a nice light golden yellow looking beer, with a decent sized head that looks nice, but dies a little afterwards. No lacing

Has a very nice beery smell, yeast filling the nose, nice........

On the taste....well it is very tasty that's for sure, very hoppy as well

Sessionable beer, smooth in the front end and easy to drink. Bit of a bitter aftertaste which is interesting but manageable, it is a very tasty beer. A nice amount of malts, and has a lemon edge to it which wasn't bad, I liked it.

Overall I liked this beer, very drinkable, very nice to taste with spices, the lemon, the grains, all noted. A nice and relaxing beer, and would have drank a few more than the two I bought....

Gold color, opaque, honey-like dissolved in water. Foam white, small, and rapidly reduces.
The aroma of malt, referred to as honey and herbs, aroma suggests that it will be sweet.
Taste: as you would expect is sweet but without exaggeration, honey or maybe tea, perhaps green with honey.
The sweetness is countered by herbal and slightly bitter bitterness. Saturation high, fits.

Deep golden color, quite hazy. Beautiful white head, quite compact.
The smell is quite yeasty, with raw notes, almost rough.
The taste is also yeasty, but, overall, quite bitter and well characterized. And hazy. In the positive way, eh.
Even in the smell, a noticeable hop.
In the aftertaste a strong hop, and enterprising.
More than drinkable.
