Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a one finger white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, lemon, mild mixed light stone fruit, light pine and a hint of dankness. Flavor is pale malt, citrus piney and lightly grassy hops, lemon, pine, dried grasses, faint hints of stoned fruit. Lightly astringent finish with good moderate bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solid (North)West IPA with a pleasant hop bill delivering the expected citrus and piney notes, perhaps with a little more grassiness, but fine profile. This brewery won my heart right off he bat by introducing itself to our area with two West Coast style IPAs instead of hazies. Great early summer IPA.
