Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a one finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, lemon, mixed light tropical fruit and light pine. Flavor is pale malt, citrus, piney and and dank hops, lemon, grapefruit, pine needles, light mixed tropical fruit. Solid piney bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. My second IPA from Via and somewhat similar profile with citrus flavors dominating, but this one is more piney and less grassy; I like this hop bill better. Some light tropical notes that are not classic to the style, but add some interest. The malt has more caramel, although mostly crisp pale malt, which I'm fond of too. This is a fine West Coast IPA; I'm a fan.
