Bottle from Wegmans. Light amber pour wih small head. Big and malty, aroma and taste, very English. Dry and dusty, caramel, leather. Much more malty than hoppy.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt semi-dark bronzed orange color with a two finger eggshell white foamy head. The head held for a little bit gracefully fell off. One ring of foamy lace held near the top. Light speckling underneath.
The aroma had a huge fruity estery sweetness trolling an orange marmalade malty blend. Plenty of floral hop exist and some biscuity/caramel/toffee malts. The
The flavor definitely leaned towards the sweet side combining the estery fruitiness through those caramel malts. Mild aftertaste of diacetyl, toffee/toasty dryness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Decent carbonation. Finishes with the maltiness.
Overall, the bottle says "bright tropical citrus notes" and I see no date anywhere on this bottle which tells me I'm going to rate this in hopes that the brewer will see this.

I found this one had characteristics similar (at least to my perceptions) to Bell's "Two Hearted" (which I know had become a favorite of many of my fellow advocates and I finally tried, and loved, last year) ... though perhaps less so. With Empire Brewing being located not far away from us here in Central N.Y. I know now which of theirs I'll want to sample most often.

I found it unusually sweet, yet hoppy and not really bitter. There's a bitter aftertaste that's not very lasting, and an orangey linger that sticks around. The smells are similar to those near clean rivers, the way it goes down bring me an immense joy, it's a great beer I'd drink any time.

Empire Brewing Co. "Slo Mo'"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, seemingly without freshness dating
$1.83 @ Cherry Hill Wine, Liquor & Beer (Wegmans), Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: There's a little sticker on the label that reads "HANDCRAFTED & BOTTLED AT EMPIRE BREWING COMPANY CAZENOVIA, NEW YORK" which covers up the original address of "EMPIRE FARMSTEAD BREWERY INC.". That's unusual, usually you're allowed to work through your supply of labels so I wonder what that's about. Anyway, it's poured a murky golden amber beneath a decent head of white foam. The aroma is malty and hoppy with some citrus and soft earthiness. I could certainly use a little more aroma here, this smells more like a pale ale to me, but whatever. On to the flavor... there the hops are! Very nice. It's got a little bit of caramel to the malt but not too much, nor is it too sweetish. The hops are fruity with berry, orange, grapefruit, peach, mango, and a hint of sweetened lemon. Nice. It's got a very firm bitterness that balances its sweetish malt and shows a little stronger in the finish, along with some residual fruitiness and earthiness. How strong is this? 6.5% abv, that seems about right as i don't get any alcohol out of it and it's got a malty, medium body and gentle carbonation. Smooth, malty, and hoppy. Pretty nicely done.

Found it in bottles at Brewers Outlet, nearby PA; wanted to try since had visited the brewery in 2013(?). Really disappointed - strange after-taste.

On tap at the brew pub. Pours amber with fluffy white head and soda like carbonation. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt and tropical fruit. Body is medium and crisp. Citrusy hops, caramel malt and tropical fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long and dry. Good brew.
