This beer absolutely blew me away. Had it on tap at the brewpub. Cheers to the head brewer at Empire for creating this world class doppelbock. Dark ruby appearance, generous rocky tan head. Aroma is heavenly...sweetish with caramel, molasses, roasted grains and alcohol. This is a big, delicious brew, and matches up against any of the imported German doppelbocks I've ever had. Is it possible to be in love with a beer?
