Sourish traditional ale, well malted. This could go as a sour. Much better than its yeasted-up white aphro cousin. Average mouthfeel, very drinkable. Uses 40% wheat. Honey, ginger, lavender, herbs, sugar, lavender. I would welcome having this again, and so should others.

The beer pours a pale gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a nice ginger/lavender scent along with a light golden ale aroma. It's herbal in nature with a light refreshing feel. The taste is good as well. Keep in mind, this is a gruit type beer that is meant to be light with a dry herbal character. It's refreshingly smooth with a crisp honey edge. The lavender and ginger add a very complex character; very nice. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is an excellent herb/spice beer. It's easy drinking with a nice spring feel. I wouldn't recommend this for people who don't care for gruits.
