Since I had the Frankenheim Alt a short while ago, I've been using it as a sort of benchmark for altbiers. However if I had not, it's possible this would've received a higher rating. Having made that statement, this is still a decent enough alt. Just does not inspire one to want more. Slightly lighter in color and mouthfeel. A mild malt sweetness prevails in the flavor department with a smooth, tea/honey-like finish.
