A classic American Pale Ale, Empire's Two Emperors is the style of beer that launched the craft beer revolution. 12 ounce bottle into a tulip glass. Had 8/1/23.
Pours a brownish orange, with a one and a half inch foamy head with decent retention and a good amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of malt, some general citrus, light grapefruit, light pine. Smells floral. Similar flavors: malt, light pine, light general citrus, a tiny bit of bitterness on the finish. Tastes floral. Smooth, a decent light body, well carbonated.
It’s quite floral, especially in the aroma. But mostly, it’s just malty. Pleasant enough, and worth a try.
