Deep gold bald-headed brew sporting a nose of toast, strawberry jam and ferns. Well-balanced through a draught, but plagued by most definite ale-like characteristics. A non-assertive session brew that's quite good, but not all there as a Dortmunder.

Clear gold color with an off-white head that thins to a clinging layer. Aroma consists of fresh bread with a slight suggestion of malt sweetness. Hop aroma is prevalent but well integrated. The hop flavors shift from spicy to bitter as they roll around the mouth spreading their wealth of character. The malt is sturdy and consistent. Mouth feel is light-medium with a smooth texture. Carbonation is low...perhaps a bit more is in order for the style. All in all, a well built brew.
