A rich golden ale characterized by its upfront hop bitterness & floral aroma. Overtones of fruity esters balance out this bold beer, making it the “Pride of Flagstaff.”

IPA on nitro, at the source. Nitro takes out almost any flavour. I am a big fan of the style, but maybe would try this without any added carbonation.

Fairly fruity, estery, and resiny aroma, oddly enough, with a toasted malt backbone and lightly bitter finish in flavor. A little too earthy, for my liking.

Reviewed by full phone notes in Flagstaff Brewing Co. I was told this was 7.5% ABV.
A- Medium golden pour from the tap to a pint glass for $3. A half finger foamy white cap is left on the beer and it has pretty good retention. The ring left behind leaves a drizzled sheet at the top followed by some webs and spots.
S- Right off the bat I notice a strong stone fruit nectar aroma of apricot, peach and tangerine, ample hops. Mostly hops with some caramel malts, bread and citrus.
T- Intense stone fruit and hops carry over from the nose and are accentuated by the 7.5% ABV. Apricot, peach, tangerine, grapefruit, bitter orange peel and pine come to mind. Not juicy or too sweet but lots of fruit flavor. Cracked light grains, slight caramel, bread and some fruit esters below the hops.
MF- Somewhat light bodied for thr higher ABV but it has a silky and foamy frothy consistency. Bubbles are at a medium level and smooth. Finishes a bit warm and with a medium high bitterness.
Probably more of an IPA than a Pale Ale but still well brewed with a strong stone fruit feel. Tasty and clean and certainly a great deal.

I had this on tap at the brew pub in Flagstaff, AZ in May 2013. (entry from notes).
A: clear medium-dark amber, with a fairly good off-white head. Decent lacing.
The aroma was low in hops and high in malts for style.
The flavor followed. While quite nice, this is not a hoppy IPA, not even as hoppy as a APA. Think mild English IPA or even English pale ale. Even the aftertaste was more malty than hoppy. Tasty and I enjoyed it, but not what most people will be expecting or wanting in an IPA, particularly in the US.
The body was a tad watery and astringent. Proper carbonation.

On draught at FBC, Bubbaganouj is bronze with a thin white collar that leaves very light, scattered lace.
Smell is orange marmalade, just a hint of heat.
Taste is pretty fruity, lots of apricot, English ale esters maybe?
Mouthfeel is dry, some creamy carbonation, medium light bodied.
Drinkability is okay. It's malty and fruity. They call it a pale ale on the sign behind the bar, and an IPA on the menu. Definitely weakly hopped. Not my speed, average all around, as an English IPA, not American.

I am a hophead! So when I order an IPA I am looking for an aggressive hop assault, I didn't find it here with the funny named beer.
Obviously a local college favorite as they were ordering it by the pitcher.
The qualities of this beer lie in the balance of hops and grain. They compliment each other to the point of perfect balance. It's as easy to drink as a glass of cold water in the middle of summer.
If your looking for an IPA with an aggresive hop profile look elsewhere.
If you are looking for a sessionable IpA this might just be it. Enjoy.

This arrived with a big, rocky, light-tan head with great retention. The color was a medium-amber with NE-quality clarity. The nose had a light sweetness underlain with a slight hoppiness. The mouthfeel was medium with an unexpected spiciness on the tongue. The finish had a definite spicy quality, leading me to wonder what they used, both in terms of hops and yeast. Zounds!

I had this on tap at the brew pub in Flagstaff, AZ. It was a deep golden yellow color with a reddish tint. It had a bitter, acidic smell to it. The taste was mainly of strong and bitter hops, but there is a faint taste of fruit and a rather strong and bitter aftertaste.

Medium amber color. Small head. Aroma is roasted malts and a touch of chocolate. A medium bodied porter. Malts are roasted and chocolately. Hops are spicy. Maybe just a touch thin for a porter. . Well balanced. Very drinkable. Fruity finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is dry. Aftertaste slightly sweet.
