I don't see any date listed on the can or the label. This was purchased directly at Oozlefinch/Nost from their refrigerator.
Appearance: The body is a dark mahogany brown with good clarity. It starts out with a large tobacco stained tan colored head that quickly fades out to a short cap. A few spots of lacing remain on the glass.
Aroma: A light herbal note of tea leaf and a slight hint of cocoa powder are on the nose. It has a pleasant aroma.
Taste: A light bit of toasted caramel comes through up front. Some bread crust flavor towards the front and middle of the palate. The character stays the same to the finish.
Mouthfeel: It has a medium-light body with a mild toasted bitterness and a mild hop bitterness. It finishes clean and it is easy to drink.
Overall: The label on the can states that this is an "OKTOBERFEST LAGER" and at the bottom it states "BREWERS LOGAN MORRIS & JACK FERRIS." The beer as a whole is pretty good. It is better than many of the more average Oktoberfestbiers produced in the US and the lagering is pretty clean. The aroma and flavor are a bit muted but what is present is nice. It probably isn't something I'm likely to buy again but I could drink it again if it were available in a pub, alongside a sandwich. It's alright enough to recommend trying a single glass. If this were being served at an Oktoberfest celebration it would be worth buying a glass.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
