Copenhagen 31/11 2024. 44 cl can from Kihoskh. Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Can in Holy Goat Brewing's usual design with a very detailed drawing of some out-planet cows getting herded by some Monks with goat skulls for head. I am drinking the 2024 edition.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big light beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles s a several centimeters thick crown of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet and a bit sugary malty odor mingling with tart notes. A smoky and a bit salty scent lurking in the background. Sweet dark malts, brown sugar and toffee. Bacon and peat. Sour cheese and tart gooseberries. Touch of citrus.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger tart bitterness. Aftertaste is tart and bitter. Sweet undertone. Lingers for while. Finish is rather dry.
Strange brew combining the sweet roastiness of an Imperial Stout with the tart dry charm of a Geuze and a light touch of smoke.

First proper stout I had. That time skeena and I had a horrible time meeting up, and we're both frustrated but decided to not talk about it. 4^5
Second time around (2204-08-31) it's a completely different beer. 8% added chocolate, two types of dark sugar.
Pours an extremely dark brown, tan head.
Smell is smokey chocolate and sweet brown sugar.
Taste is the same
Light fizz. Feel is smooth, fizzy, sweet. No discernable bitterness. Nice one.
