Copenhagen 2/3 2025. 44 cl can from the Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Dark can with a kneeling Knight wielding a spiky Hammer.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with sweet and roasted odor of dark malts mingling with earthy fumes and dark alcohol. Toffee, caramel and brown sugar. Whiff of smoke. Leather and tobacco. The alcohol lurking in the background.
Light carbonation. Thick oily, viscous, soft, a little sticky, fat, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a distinct sweet and boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is rather dry.
Fat, intense, earthy and boozy.

Pours a pitch black liquid with a few dark tan bubbles.
Smell is smoky, roasty.
Taste is the same, touch of bitterness. Very much old school RIS
Feel is richer than expected.
