Copenhagen 23/8 2022. 375 cl bottle from Mikkeller & Friends Bottle Shop, Torvehallerne, Kbh. K. Orange red label with Holy Goat's usual occult imagery with ahornen Skull enjoying a candle. Looks a bit like the cover from a Mercyful Fate record.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - slightly dirty, golden yellow with a mid-sized, frothy white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet yeasty odor with more than a little funky touch. Sweet malts, humid basement, zesty lemon and citrus, sour cheese and unripe gooseberries.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric sourness. Aftertaste is a bit thin. Sour with funky undertone. Lingers shortly. Finish is dry.
Fine funky smell and tart and dry finish. A tad thin though.
