This is a pretty creature with a soft head. It is served cold in a rich clouded translucence; a deep sensuous honey-amber that glows invitingly. This golden ale has gentle but persistent carbonation that yields a lazy, indifferent lace and a soft tap water smell. The taste of this beer is ordinary. It is somewhat yeasty and thin. But it looks beautiful and it feels right.
This is an honest beer, not a great beer. But there is something profoundly satisfying in drinking it a rare sense of decency and charm that I thought was lost in America.
