Served cold with chill haze in an imperial glass with an eclipsed head. This beer is rusty nail brown with a faint, almost indiscernible fragrance a single brushstroke of malty air. The carbonation rises smoothly, unhurried, strangely in sync to the house jazz. The taste is remote candy brown.
There is no lace on this one. None is needed. The taste proffers clean lines with just a trace of bitterness in the finish to offset the dominance of a bright sugary maltiness. It shows restrained carbonation, a laceless, headless body, and compelling, session-style simplicity.
