This is the only beer on Salmon Creeks roster tagged with a proper name, though sadly, there is nothing electrifying or intense about this beer as the Thunderbolt moniker might imply. This is not Salmon Creeks brightest moment. Thunderbolt is brown with a slight mahogany hue. It features a light, cream-colored head that fades abruptly, a yeasty, meaty flavor, and scant aroma.
This beer has ample carbonation and decent lace but lacks the rich roastiness of a porter and has significant shortcomings as a representation of the style.
