Presumably a milk stout though not especially sweet and far from full-bodied. Sweet Stout can be coaxed to emit a light roasted smell of stale coffee with some misplaced fusels contributing a perturbed cognac essence. It displays an absent head, minimal CO2, and a sullen body of black lacquer. Aside from a long roasted tail, the beer lacks definition in its attack and sustain.
Not a fatally bad beer, but itÂ’s hard to locate any appreciable standout qualities.
