Copenhagen 15/9 2025. 33 cl bottle from The Drinks Shop, Rødovre Centrum, Rødovre. Drawing of a very grumpy ram made in wood on the label.
Pours opaque very dark mahogany with a mid-sized off-white head. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of malt, sugar and alcohol. Caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Dark alcohol looming. Whiff of grains.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly viscous, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet, slightly boozy indertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry with a distinct touch of alcohol.
Fine dark ramrod.
