Copenhagen 28/8 2025. 33 cl bottle from Drinksshoppen, Rødovre Centrum. Rødovre. Blue label with an anchor encased in ice.
Pours opaque dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Stable. Settle as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a strong sweet odor of malt and sweet spice mingling with a bit of alcohol. Sweet dark malts, anise, cinnamon and brown sugar. Light touch of ginger. Sweet and warming.
Light carbonation. Medium thin, oily, soft, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by as moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and sweetly spicy. Lingers for a while. Finish is a littlest sticky.
For all the Cinnamon and Ginger lovers.
