sick to get to have two bottles from these guys back to back, loving what they do, such unique ferments, subtle fruit in this one but delicious overall. delicate for being so sour, and just truly interesting, which is a hard thing to find in beer these days, got a lot of love for what they are doing here. 2022 vintage, small bottle, pale just orange tinted straw beer with uniform frosted haze to it and some carbonation but not much head, soft and glowing. the aroma is really funky, some sulfur which i have picked up in a few of their others, almost lambic level medicinal funkiness, decently sharp, lemony, white vinegar, but then ripe floral soft apricot, very natural, white wine notes surround it, clover honey, white wheat malt perhaps but very minimal on the grain side in both aroma and flavor, mature now, not super woody but there is some of that tannic thing going on here too. the flavor is piquant and zippy, mineral forward with some delicate sweetness from the fruit but a very dry beer overall. white florals, somewhat acetic as it sits, honey, just enough grain, juicy apricot, bellini, orange zest, even some bitterness to finish, as fermentation forward as it is fruity, which is cool. better carbonation that it shows visually, and really a delight to drink. complex in an uncommon way, reserved but distinctive, hard to do. the kind of beer im really into right now, this vintage is drinking very nicely at the moment!

OCTOBER 2023.
33 cl bottle (€8 from the beershop fridge).
"A blend of mixed fermentation beer aged in barrels and/or vats, macerated with fresh apricots of the Orange Rubis and Ladycot varieties", grown according to the canons of organic farming (certified).
As soon as it is uncorked, it immediately smells of sour apricot, but also woody notes (rancid and impregnated wood).
Hazy straw yellow colour, non-existent foam except for a light superficial veil.
In the mouth, a smooth body that leaves room for an unexpected astringency... I went there carefree and almost shed a tear at how astringent the finish of this beer is.
The drink is as fast as it is demanding. The entrance is characterized by a pleasant taste of apricots which flows quickly towards a finish characterized by a strong acidic note: tartaric but also with sharp woody notes. There are no acetic reflexes, but the sensation is similar to when you drink something like this.
I didn't find that elegance that would have enhanced the taste of apricot more, with a less intrusive acid note and perhaps a wood that added roundness, rather than adding hints of soaked oak.
Very acidic. Absolutely not easy to drink. Very good apricot, but a really heavy sour note. Little elegance in evolution.

Foggy pale orange, about the same color as an apricot itself. A finger of foam and spotty lace.
Aroma was a little volatile at first, with sulfur and musty notes, but this eventually faded after some aeration. Delicate apricot aromas started to waft up eventually.
Bracingly sour, moderately acidic with a little sharpness. Pleasant apricot flavor in there, though the acidity is a little fatiguing. The fruit character is pleasant and unique, carb is on the light side.
Reminiscent of AWA’s in the late 00’s, but with better fruit. The label states Orange Rubis and Ladycot varieties.
