Copenhagen 13/7 2023. 40 cl from tap at Taphouse, Lavendelstræde, Kbh. K.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, sugary malty odor mingling with a pronounced scent of peanuts. Brown sugar, toffee and caramel. Lightly salted peanuts.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit sticky, slightly viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Salty tang. Aftertaste is sweet with a lightly searing boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is sweet and crammed with peanuts.
Heavy hitter hiding it ominous intentions behind an abundance of peanuts and sugar.
