No date on can, into a pils glass.
Pours a nice pale gold with foam that remains for a good amount of time. Aroma is rich honey with a little herby hop aroma. Flavor follows nose heavily, being predominantly fresh cut hay and sweet, thick honey. It's quite sweet with a little zesty kick at the end, but while hoppy, it's not bitter at all. There's an attempt at a bite on the finish which balances it out a little, but really it's quite sweet. Feel is really good, heavily carbonated, which helps enhance the bitterness and smoothness against all the sweetness.
Overall very good but far too sweet. I'd love more of the hop bitterness alongside the straw/alfalfa malt flavors, but it's just not snappy enough to hit that "Italian" pilsner itch for me. Still, a good beer that I enjoyed quite a bit. There's a lot of great ideas here, just not quite in the direction I want.
