truly weird and insane, on the edge of not being beer, flavored to oblivion, but at least its not marshmallow and vanilla and all that, its like nothing ive ever tasted before, my first from this operation, and it deserves a ton of credit. not sure if its actually made with things like tomatoes and onions and black pepper, because i can taste all that for sure, or if its got some like after fermentation flavoring added, or maybe is actually brewed with or blended with actual memphis bbq sauce, never heard of this in a beer before, and im not even sure i care how its done, its epic! i dont think anyone would call it beautiful, murky and red, some head and some bubbles, but some sediment and a ton of body, whatever this is novelty beer just in theory, let alone in the glass! serious bbq nose and taste, to the point its so authentic it makes no sense, smoke, red fruit, strawberry jelly more than real berries, cracked peppercorn, whiskey, bacterial lemony tang that hits like apple cider vinegar does in sauce, actual stewed tomato, maybe a hint of horseradish, the sweetness of the berries rules, almost too much body, its gloopy and heavy even with some bubbles, but the flavor makes it worth it, and this being big and slow is awesome for these flavors, whiskey, chili, cigar, burnt orange, dill, honey and molasses, real bbq meatiness, charcoal burning low, its salty too, sour enough, and just not like anything else out there, you just have to be impressed. a gimmick maybe, but if there is a better tale on this sort of thing, show it to me, strawberry adds a lot, i will never forget this!
