Inspired by “Black Velvet” Alannah Myles

We brewed Black Velvet in collaboration with the Memphis Beer Drinkers Club. This special release will be available on draft and in cans to-go on March 1st. An Imperial Stout base was conditioned on Ecuadorian cacao nibs, hand toasted and untoasted coconut flakes, Madagascar Vanilla Beans, and toasted local pecans to infuse all the flavors of a German Chocolate Cake. A big beer loaded with lots of richness and a big punch of flavor, so why not drink your cake instead of eating it?

Draft at Soul & Spirits. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of chocolate, coconut, vanilla and toffee. Sweet chocolate taste with coconut, toffee and vanilla.
