22oz bottle pours into a snifter jet black, no light getting through this one. Light lacing.
Smell is straight up high quality coffee. Canoe teamed up with local coffee company Habit (whose founder used to brew at Canoe) to make this one, so clearly it's going to be coffee dominated.
The taste is more restrained on the coffee, mixing in some light roasted malts. Light body, slightly too carbonated for a stout.
At 5.5% this is an incredibly drinkable, delicious stout. Yes, the carbonation is too heavy and the body too light, but the delicious coffee flavors would make me one to have this one on a night out...probably more than once.
