Note this is listed a pale lager on Untappd, but that option is not available in the style selection on BA.
Gifted in April 2022 and drunk in August that year.
Pours a lovely, clear golden colour, with a quickly disappearing finger-high head. Mild carbonation is evident.
Aroma is sweet, wet hay, with floral notes from the hops. There's a slight mustiness underlying the other scents.
Flavour-wise, there's a lovely biscuity malt character with mild to moderate floral hops. Retronasally there's a clear, dusty hay note at the end. Is there the slightest citrus note in there too? It's dry, clean and very moreish. This is a really nice beer.
Mouthfeel is smooth, with more carbonation than expected from what is seen in the glass.
Overall, as noted above, this is a really nice lager. It delivers a crisp, refreshing, and very enjoyable experience, and one I'd gladly drink again.
Cheers!
