McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge

I visited the McMenamins in Kalama last weekend while on my way home from Portland. When I was there, they had 14 beers on tap, 10 of them brewed here at the Kalama location. Pretty standard selection of styles, though they do have a “craft malt liquor”, which is a pretty rare sight. Overall the quality was not too bad, if not outstanding; pretty typical for a McMenamins.

We sat in the cloud lounge on the top floor; lots of pine paneling and gnarled timbers give a warm rustic feel. There’s a beautiful view up there out over the river; I really dig the vibe. Food is good, if perhaps a tad pricey (again, typical McMenamins). Service is good, quick and friendly.
