Poured into a Seattle Beer Week glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a one finger ivory head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of grainy and biscuit malt, dry caramel and a touch of grassy hops. Flavor is grainy and biscuit malt, mild caramel, apple and grassy hops. Lingering grassy and hay hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A pleasant domestic take on a märzen style lager. Malt is a little grainier than a continental one, but the overall lightly sweet malt is fairly authentic. An interesting flavor progression with some light sweetness developing in the middle of the taste, but drying out into the finish, which leaves a slight astringency to the flavor. Good märzen that looks nice.

16oz tallboy can purchased at Rocket Market, high atop Spokane's South Hill. No freshness date. Apparently, Echoes is the old Sound Brewing.
Poured into a 16oz dimpled mug, this was a murky dark amber, with a moderately sized off-white head that dropped down to a thin ring rather quickly.
Big, malty nose. This beer is not about hops. Things are sweet and roasty, in a caramel sort of way, along with a bit of a mineralish tang.
Very similar to the nose. Fairly sweet up front, almost too sweet. Finishes dry, again with a bit of mineral taste in the back.
Medium bodied, appropriate mouth feel.
A decent marzen, but a little too sweet for more than a single mug.
