8/5/18: $1.99 16.9 oz bottle poured into chalice. Light golden pour, light white lacing. Firm malt aroma and taste. Medium body and mouth feel. Overall nice offering.

Named after the city that hosts the brewery, Samarskoye comes out a clear gold under a firm white head that lingers just a little while and leaves just a tiny trace of lace. It has a sweetish malty nose and a light, prickly mouth. It opens with a fresh light malty taste, followed by a slightly hoppy bite that leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Not a great beer by any stretch of the imagination, it is quite drinkable and will serve well as a session beer during future visits to the brewery pub.
