The brewery is currently in a big court fight with all the other Russian breweries that have named one of their brews "Zhigulovskoye". Guess I'll have to try the filtered version, as this one hardly explains why anyone would want to fight over the name.

Comes out a whitish cloudy gold under a firm white head that sticks around and leaves some very nice lace. So far so good, but we go down hill fast from there. The nose is sour and metallic. The mouth is light and way over-carbonated. The taste opens slightly sour, followed by lots of malt, then a four bitterness. The aftertaste is fizzy malt. Definitely not my favorite beer, it is not even my favorite beer named "Zhigulovskoye". Next!
