My first beer of the Christmas Season with my extended family. This pleasant little brewery remained open and serving beer during some of the worst weather I have seen in a couple decades (Friday, 12/23/22). Fortunately, not far from our hotel.
I love black IPAs and this one didn’t disappoint. Poured from draft into a pint glass. Clear dark brown color with a nice beige head and good lacing. Smell and taste of a pleasant mix of grapefruit and dark toast. Nice roasted malt flavor and a hint of coffee. Excellent citrus overtones. Great example of the style!
