Drinking on tap...not sure if it's German or brewed under licence ; )
Beautiful colour...kind of shiny copper orange...aroma is typical of a weisen beer. Quite a complex mouth feel...a little overtly effervescent in the after taste.
Taste is sweet banana skins, balanced with some mince pies, with a dry bitter after taste. It's not the best Weizen and lacks smoothness and flavour, and has an overt effervescence, but much better then I was expecting, considering how Holsten Pils in cans usually tastes ; )

Pours a cloudy turbid copper dark straw color. Carbonation is visible. Despite the large head, it quickly dissipates.
Usual assortment of hefeweizen aromas including banana, clove and bubblegum. There is also sweetness from the barley and wheat.
Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Bready flavor with clove spices. Not so much banana or fruity sweetness. Relatively clean and slightly lemony finish.
I had this on multiple occasions in Macedonia when I felt like an Ale amidst a plethora of lager choices. Uncomplicated but nice enough.

(As "Holsten Alba Nefiltrata" on-tap at a bar in Sofia, Bulgaria)
Reviewed from notes taken Summer 2014.
Average appearance. White head. 2 minute head retention.
Body is a hazy copper colour. Clean; surprisingly haze-free for an unfiltered brew.
AROMA: Banana, clove, wheat. Banana bread.
A pleasant aroma of mild strength.
TASTE: Banana and clove dominate, but wheat and helles malts give it a pleasant backbone. Approachable, lacking any overt off-flavour or alcohol.
Balanced and enjoyable, though simplistic. Average depth, duration, and intensity of flavour.
I like it for what it is.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, medium-bodied, of apt thickness for the style, well-carbonated. Suits the taste okay, but fails to elevate the beer as a whole or to accentuate specific notes.
OVERALL: A drinkable and enjoyable attempt at the style. I wouldn't pick it as my first choice in the future, but I like it. Certainly average, which is fine at this price.

Pours a cloudy orange with a thick and creamy white head. Leaves some lace.
A little sweet butterscotch with citrus banana bread.
Smooth and even a little thin and bubbly yet retains a bit of creaminess to it.
Pretty decent. Based on the price(cheapish) and getting a beer on draft in Romania I wasn't expecting much.

The label says it's made in Germany, but it's weird that this isn't reviewed already around here, i'm inclined to believe that this might be made especially for the local market. Oh well.
Lower banana and clove, more on the wheaty side, but the balance isn't totally ruined. Goes down slowly, and lacks the annoying crispness (lemon zest) that some of these cheaper weizens tend to have.
Not bad, though i am a fan of the spicier weizen.
