50cl Silver Can proclaiming "Quality German Beer", handshaking logo and "German Purity Law of 1516" - you can tell it's a made-for export brew, and this is one I picked up in Slovenia.
Pours a pale yellow colour, like costume jewelery, with a truly excellent crest of fine meringuey white head which leaves amazing lacing. Lots of fine bubbled carbonation. Perhaps a bit too much, but still this is a very nice looking beer.
Quite sweet on the nose, with an unpleasant underlying aroma of acetone. Could be something to do with the can, or the hop variety, but I'm not convinced the character is intentional.
Better on the palate, with a smooth, clean entry backed up with a reasonable hoppiness. End is very weak though, and descends into a slightly sweet, sugar-water nothingness. Mouthfeel is very crisp and clear though.
This is an odd one, this one. I can't really make out whether I like it or not. It's a pretty pleasant beer to drink really, but it's certainly missing a lot of character.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
