a gluten free or gluten reduced kettle sour with a heap of pink guava in it. its clean on the souring, packs a middle of the roast acidity but is still darn drinkable. its fruity as heck but its not all juice, and i think its cool that the guava can stand alone in this. its so often a fruit bonded to others in beers, neat to have it on its own. no color at all from the guava this looks like a glass of orange juice, sunny yellow and summery with some haze and decent carbonation but not a lot of head. it smells twangy and tart and is mouthwatering right away, guava is ripe and real and easy to identify in this, well dosed and not fermented down to zero, even though its not super sweet to me either. subtle mango and lemon in support, wheaty it seems on the grain side, and simple in a good way, tidy for what it is, and the flavor agrees. the guava drives this but it stays beery and balance, some natural piquancy from the fruit along with the lactic pucker, nice back and forth there. some biscuity grain at the core here, umbrella drink vibes, very true to the guava, and overall well above average in a style that is so often hit or miss. good effort here and a nice expression of the fruit.
