without a doubt the best beer i drank on my recent trip to montana, this is wonderful stuff, and a heck of a first impression for me of this brewery because of it, really impressive beer right here, thinking about it now makes me froth for another pint. its a modern session ipa at its core, off dry but clean on the ferment, lightly hazy but not thick or dense or grainy, and with a citrusy bouquet that may also include some southern hemisphere hops, lemongrass and melon to me in both aroma and flavor, restrained bitterness, brisk. the kicker though, is that its also brewed with jasmine, and that totally defines this, well ahead of the hops in fact, but super compatible with them. tons and tons of fresh flowers to me, if its an extract or a flavoring, its a good one, it seems incredibly distinctive and authentic, jasmine has so much personality in flower form, and its all here, almost allergic in a good way, delicate but bold at the same time, its striking to my senses, never bitter or overdone, but robust, great with the citrus and the herbal hops, juicy and springy and sort of optimistic feeling. its so wonderfully drinkable and unique, never had one quite like this, the hops are perfect for it, the grain is fresh and supportive, and every detail seems dialed in. not sure these guys are canning yet, or if they have plans to at all, but if they do, this should be the lead dog. awesome recipe and execution, i will not soon forget this one!
