That wine and plum really come out, not too tart, minerals, must.

All plums and a red wine barrel in both aroma and taste. Preferred it to the Blackthorn edition.

Poured from fridge temp at a bottle share. Pours orange and murky. Nose is floral, fruit (mostly citrus), and some citrus peel. Taste is sour, peach, cloves, citrus (mostly lemon). Mouthfeel is medium bodied and dry.

just ridiculously good beer, i love trying new stuff from these guys, and even cooler to find it on tap. aged in red wine barrels with french plums, its amazing how much the skins of the plum flavor this, how well that meshes with the sour profile thats already here, and how much of the oak comes through. crazy blend of yeast here, all these wild west beers have it, but this one tastes way more mature to me than other variants i have had. so much funk, bandaid and medicinal in the nose, super sour, but woody as can be, sharp and tannic, also bretty funk, musty basement, and bright lemon citrus to the sour side, the plum bring that out even more. its cool to have a beer thats so sour and dry, but then also sweet and juicy with the plums, it really is the essence of the plum not just in the tastes but in the textures and vibes too, its great! better carbonation than it looks like it would have, long sour finish, subtle red wine fruitiness, wonderful complexity, and a yeast profile like none other. i hope to find some of the other fruited editions of this amazing base beer around. this is really a stunner! hard to believe it doesnt have higher ratings here...
