Pours a nice pinkish slightly hazy body without any head.

Fruitiness is there with cherries and raspberries.
Very sour, I've almost lost a tooth.
Low carbonation and very dry mouthfeel
Good, but not their most balanced brew

On draft. Served in a wine glass. Pours a slightly cloudy, darker reddish body, one finger white head, short retention and no lacing. Smell is raspberries, leather, a bit of cherry skin, touch of funk, mild-moderate acetic acidity, good bit of oak. Flavour is raspberry, bit of funk, dry oak, hay, mild-moderate acetic acidity, touch of leather, cherry skins on the finish. This went well with the seared tuna I had. Mouthfeel is medium-lighter bodied, dry, crisp and appropriately carbonated. A tasty raspberry-forward beer with a nice slight cherry finish.

what a tremendous beer, some of the best i have had from alvinne, which is really saying something, they are one of my favorite wild ale producers anywhere, and this is a shining beer in their glorious portfolio. cherries and raspberries in the beer, which we have seen before obviously, but the interplay between the two fruits is somehow unique in this. the cherry is tart, and it resonates nicely with the bacterial sourness of the base beer, while the raspberries seem oddly sweet to me and also super highly aromatic, really compelling, they balance out the sourness, dont seem to have much of their own usual tartness, and just seem really ripe and fresh, probably a little bit in front of the cherry in taste. whats interesting to me here though is the wood, im fairly certain this is done in oak like the others in the series (right?!), but there is this crazy aromatic to it, almost a cedar wood complexion that comes out of nowhere and is really uncommon. its almost spicy, sort of musky, and is a neat landscape for the funky bretty side of this, sort of working to absorb some of the sourness and let the more subtle wild yeast notes shine through with the fruit. unlikely its cedar, but thats what it tastes like to me. some prominent acidity on the palate here, but its mellow feeling overall, and the fruity is fresh and flavorful without taking over the beer either. excellent complexity and refinement, enormously impressive wild ale, and one of those beers that sort of ruins all the others in the style because its so much better than everything else. on tap at the new goed zuur in denver, what a haven that place is for some righteous beers like this already!
