6 years old. 33cl bottle to wine glass.
Look: Pours a murky dark brown with a minimal yet fine-pored and relatively stable light brownish head that dissipates leaving just a minimal amount of lacing. Some golden little floaters are visible.
Smell: Dark chocolate, coffee and licorice. Dark fruits are also there. Barrel notes as well. Minimally alcoholic.
Taste: Dark fruity notes of plum and raisins are dominating here without being overly sweet. It's well hidden, but the typical Alvinne tartness is clearly shining through. Light notes of licorice and coffee are in the mix, too.
Feel: Unusually thin with a very low carbonation and a minimal sharpness. Quite smooth.
Overall: Very good beer that tastes just like one would imagine an Imperial Stout from Alvinne to taste. Although I prefer my stouts thicker and/or creamier, this one makes perfect sense considering its origin. Its complex flavor composition and smooth balance would benefit even more from a slightly fuller body.

Mano Negra, Alvinne's Russian imperial stout, aged for a year in port barrels in celebration of Nüetnigenough's 8th anniversary. A nice blend of plums, wine tannins, oak character, tobacco, and dark chocolate.

Pours a murky brownish black. Body is medium with boozy smoothness on finish. The nose takes on the port barrel flavors of port and oak, along with raisin, caramel, prunes, smoke, fudge, and coffee. Taste has all of those, but with the tartness of the port and bitterness of the malt and coffee culminating at end.
