Pours a cloudy, deep amber coloratiuon with a small, fluffy head. Smells of doughy malt and fruity and slightly spicy estery yeast notes of tart green apple, apricot, gooseberry and clove, as well as some flowery, herbal accents. Taste follows the nose, with a great balance of light doughy malt, estery fruit and spice notes of tart green apple, apricot, gosseberry, clove and black pepper, as well as some flowery, herbal accents and a good underlying lactic, citric acidity, with some funky accents. Finishes with a light/medium tartness and some estery fruit and spice lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is basically Omega infused with wild flowers and it does seem a bit more flowery and herbal, although it's been quite a while since I had the regular version and the general flavour profile seems rather similar. In any case, this makes for a very enjoyable Sour Ale with some distinct estery fruit and spice notes and lighter floral, herbal accents, as well as a good acidity and subtle funk.
