This is labeled as Belgian Barleywine, but since it uses English hops I put it in that beer style. It is brewed in collaboration with Birdsong Brewery.

Thanks to bul11zeye for sharing this 750 ml bottle.

The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is heavy on the toffee and grassy hops, as well as some dark fruit, brown sugar and chocolate.

The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of dark fruit and raisin notes, as well as some toffee and chocolate. The alcohol is noticeable, but not as hot as it could be since the beer is nearly 15 percent ABV.

Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice.
