draft at Rustico Ballston awhile back, reviewed from notes...

a: served in a cylinder glass, the beer is a deep, ruby-highlighted brown in color, topped with a healthy coating of off-white carbonation that retains well, looks nice

s: sour fermented black cherry and tart balsamic vinegar notes make up most of the nose, slightly malty aromas suggest darker sugars fully fermented out by the bacteria, some wine barrel notes bring spicy oak and maybe a flash of red wine tannins, very nice

m: carbonation around moderate, smooth but lively, with a light-medium body

t: ripe, fermented tree fruits - black cherry especially - serve as an underpinning for a strong, puckering balsamic vinegar flavor - suggestions of sweet fruit sugars at first lead to a pungent sour finish, ends with a lingering sour, tannic fruit skins, and spicy oak notes

o: an enjoyable wild ale - straightforward upfront with dominant vinegar and cherry, but supporting a little more complexity deep down, not a favorite of the style but definitely worth a dry
