Note this beer is labelled as an Australian Pale Ale, but that option is not available here.
Note also the alcohol is listed as 5.2%, but my can stated 5.4%.
The beer is a watery, light yellow colour and has a persistent, medium-sized head.
The aroma is neutral, with nothing jumping to the fore even as the beer warmed. There was no information about the single hop used in the beer, and the nose gave no obvious clues.
The taste is clean, with a mild citrus note. Again, nothing particularly leapt from the glass.
The mouthfeel was a little thin, with minimal bitterness.
Overall the beer is a mild, easy-drinking pale ale. There's nothing to wax lyrical about, and if that was the plan, then the brewer has done a good job of providing a nice gateway beer for the craft-drinking neophyte or the jaded hipster looking for a non-confronting choice for an easy session.
Cheers!
