I love Brewery Outré! The beers are unique and really good. The brewery has a lot of natural light, comfortable spaces to meet up with friends, and a dog friendly patio. Wednesday nights are trivia nights and are so much fun. The service is impeccable. Ted, Travis, Alex, and Joey are very knowledgeable and are the best!

We visited this brewery as part of Kalamazoo Craft Beverage Week. The event was a beer and bread pairing with three beer-and-bread pairing samples. The brewery is on the ground floor of a 5-story apartment building. Parking spaces are marked by signs at the rear of the building, and the entrance to the pub is also at the rear. The bar is on the left just inside, and there is seating for six. The brewing equipment is visible, and the adjacent pub area has seating for 20-25 people. A rear 'lounge' area with upholstered furniture probably seats around 20 people. A patio on the front side of the building seats more when the weather is warm. Ordering beer is from the bar. The vibe is decent, although with all of the concrete surfaces, it's noisy!
There were 12 beers on tap with a good selection of styles, and we had only the three samples as part of the bread/beer event. All three were very tasty and brewed to style, although the honey in the kolsch as well as the kolsch taste itself didn't show up until the beer was at room temp. The Rose' Sour was either aged in zinfandel barrels or blended with that wine, and you could tell it has a wine background, but it didn't taste like zinfandel to me. But all three beers were very tasty.
No food is served here (the bread was catered from a local bakery), but a few packaged snacks are available. It looked like 3-4 of the beers were available to go in 16-oz cans, plus there are growlers available. The rest of the beer menu looks very interesting so that I'd like to visit again.

One of the newer additions to the Kalamazoo brewing scene. This has a welcoming, tucked-away vibe. Nice mix of experimental and traditional selections. Some outdoor seating.
